We also provide 1800mm, if you only require a shorter length for other purposes. Please note the thread pack in the image is 6000mm in length.

Our needles are specially designed for bookbinding and used in different bookbinding projects. Each pack includes 2 needles. One is 70mm in length ( Large eye for thick thread ), and the other one is 62mm in length ( Smaller eye compared with 70mm eye)

Linen thread is considered the strongest and highest quality sewing thread used for bookbinding.

100% Pure Linen Thread- Coated in wax- High tensile strength

Please note the thickness of the thread is only a rough thickness, it is not exact, in order to give you an idea of the thickness. It will also have some colour variations as it is natural organic linen thread.

Thick to Thin- 18/5-18/3-25/3-40/3

18/5 ( No18 Cord 5 )- Approx 0.90 mm
18/3 ( No.18 Cord 3 )- Approx 0.55 mm
25/3 ( No.25 Cord 3 )- Approx 0.47 mm
40/3 ( No.40 Cord 3 )- Approx 0.38 mm

For needles, the sizes 18/3, 25/3 and 40/3 can fit into our 62mm and 70mm straight needles and B1, B2, B3 and B4 curved needles. Expecting 18/5 can only fit 70cm straight needle. Discover our needles via this link- Click Here

As normal, you can simply wet the end of the thread, so the thread can easily fit into the needle eyes without hassles.

We have used many threads in the past and tested most of the threads on the market, unfortunately, most of them were quite weak for bookbinding, and can snap by pulling the thread too tight. It is very important for us to use strong thread, as we restore and bind many valuable books in our bindery.

This thread we have been using for many years, and we can confirm this is one of the strongest threads we ever used so far, it is tested by our book restorers and bookbinders.

If you want to make a journal that is slightly bigger than A5, and the journal has 8 sections, we have specially calculated 6000 mm for you, so it will be enough for you to make a journal, at the same time, you don't have to buy more than what you need.
