You will find, when you come to dry the covers on a completed book, that the moisture from the glue readily migrates into the free side of the endpaper and the first few pages of the text block. To prevent this, you can use this bookbinding metal sheets insert between the covers and the text block. It has the advantage of keeping all surface dead flat.
