This thread is designed for restoration, it can also be used for general bookbinding. If you are restoring an old book, you may not want to use pure white thread for the books, the restoration will look too obvious. This thread is light brown colour, and it matches old book thread colour.

We have used many threads in the past, and tested most of the threads on the market, unfortunately, most of them were quite weak for bookbinding, and can snap by pulling the thread too tight. It is very important for us to use strong thread, as we restore and bind many valuable books in our bindery.

This thread we have been using for many years, we can confirm this is one of the strongest threads we ever used so far, it is tested by our book restorers and bookbinders.

If you want to make a journal that is slightly bigger than A5, and the journal has 8 sections, we have specially calculated 6000 mm for you, and we also include some extra length for you in the 6000 mm, so it will be plenty for you to make a journal, at the same time, you don't have to buy more than what you need. Approx 0.5 mm.
