The thread is dipped in a mixture that contains PVA (polyvinyl alcohol), then dried and smoothed over polishing woods. This creates a beautiful surface with a smooth feel for easy handling, durability and resistance to fraying, making this bookbinding thread a pleasure to work with.

Polished, Not Waxed
