Linen thread is considered the strongest and highest quality sewing thread used for bookbinding.

Needles

For needles, the sizes 18/3, 25/3 and 40/3 can fit into our 62mm and 70mm straight needles and B1, B2, B3 and B4 curved needles. Except 18/5 can only fit 70mm straight needle.

As normal, you can simply wet the end of the thread, so the thread can easily fit into the needle eyes without hassles.

Why we use this thread

We have used many threads in the past and tested most of the threads on the market, unfortunately, most of them were quite weak for bookbinding, and can snap by pulling the thread too tight. It is very important for us to use strong thread, as we restore and bind many valuable books in our bindery.

This thread we have been using for many years, and we can confirm this is one of the strongest threads we ever used so far, it is tested by our book restorers and bookbinders.
